The Cold Light of Day trailer shows us that John McClane still has an edge over the Man of Steel
At 56, age simply has no bearing on how awesome Bruce Willis (Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, etc.) can be in any given movie. The Cold Light of Day only continues to preach this fact to the masses that have hung on his every ‘Yippee-ki-yay’, sword slash and narrowly escaped explosion leading up to his inevitable defiantly stony gaze. Seriously… the man is awesome! But I digress. Check out the trailer and synopsis after the break.
The Cold Light of Day stars Henry Cavill (Immortals and hot off the filming of Man of Steel) as Will, a reluctant stock trader who follows his recently reunited family on a holiday to Spain. Things turn for the worse for Will after he returns to the family boat only to realize that his family has gone missing. Will quickly realizes that the local authorities are not to be trusted and that something larger is working against him and his family. Reconnecting with his father after the boat attack, Will learns that his father has been working as an operative for the C.I.A. and that he has taken something that the people who have kidnapped his family will go to great lengths to get back. Now Will has twenty-four hours to stay alive and to get these people what they want in order to save his family. Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Galaxy Quest, etc.) and Bruce Willis help to round out this stellar cast.
“THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY is an edge of your seat thrill ride about Will Shaw, a cocky young Wall-Street trader, who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain, when he suddenly finds his family kidnapped and his own life in danger. Panicked and lost in a foreign country, Will has only hours to uncover a government conspiracy, unravel his father’s darkest secrets, and rescue his loved ones.”
The Cold Light of Day hits theaters April 6,2012.
