Band Of The Week: The Atlantic

Hailing from Kansas City, MO home of many large acts such as The Casket Lottery, The Get Up Kids, and Shiner, comes The Atlantic. A four piece indie rock outfit that are not stranger to hard work. Having been together four years and already been through a few line up changes, The Atlantic has finally solidified a line up that fits them and it shows, especially in their live show.

The Atlantic is Brandon Gardner (Guitars/Vocals), Patrick Robinson (Vocals/Guitars), Blaire Geenens (Drums), and Eric Fain (Bass). With a sound that is similar to the darker Brand New (The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me) and the haunting melody of Robinson’s voice and passionate lyrics, I see The Atlantic rising to the top of the Kansas City scene and expect big things out of them in the coming months. And they have just been invited to be a part of this years SXSW music festival in Austin, TX.

Head over to their facebook and give them a listen, if you like what you hear you can head over to their bandcamp where you can download their EP “Everything Is…” for free.

I love Star Wars probably more than anything else. My second love is music. I have been fortunate to have lived my dream and toured the United States. I have tour managed for Underminded, Full Blown Chaos, Scars of Tomorrow, Catherine, Dear Life, and Close To Home. I spend my days listening to as much new music as I can and booking shows in my spare time.
